、Let's wait until we find out how much it cost first before we judge this phone. You can get the Galaxy S for Php18,600, LG Black for Php17,990.

The LG black uses the same CPU, GPU, and chipset as the N9.

The Galaxy S also uses the same CPU but with a faster GPU than the N9.

、It will be 600 USD as I have gathered from mynokiablog. Yah, the specs are not as good as LG and Sammy. I'd still take a dive though.

、Point taken. I'd still buy this sh!t though.

Nokia N9 Announced:Nokia N9 Launching on 15th September on Swiss Orange ?

Its been quite a long time since Ive submitted anything truly worthwhile about this blog. On the other hand, its been quite a long time since theres already been any useful Nokia information. And therefore, after the four-month hiatus, its period again to check out one associated with Nokias most recent phones: the actual oft-rumored N9.

Whenever we last remaining Nokia, the software application development had introduced that it might be going the way in which of the actual Windows Telephone, in that which was probably one of the greatest deals in between two from the largest technology companies available. Nokias 2 last systems  Symbian as well as MeeGo  were likely to be jettisoned, within the hope which moving in order to Windows might give Nokia the flexibleness to innovate each software as well as hardware. Symbian experienced, more or even less, be a dying system, and MeeGo wasnt living as much as its expectations like a savior for that company:
MeeGo Experts report that the long awaited Nokia N9 might be available via Swiss Orange starting September 15th. The website has put up a page for the MeeGo Harmattan device and listed 15th September as date of availability alongside the specifications.
The Nokia N9 comes with a large 3.9″ AMOLED curved glass display. The phone runs a custom build of MeeGo which uses a proprietary 3 panel Swipe-UI. The camera is an 8MP unit and captures 720p video at 30FPS.
Several weeks later, Oistämö nevertheless struggles to attend tears. “MeeGo have been the group hope from the company, ” he or she says, “and wed arrived at the conclusion how the emperor experienced no clothing. Its not really a nice point. ”
However the release from the N9 demonstrates that perhaps, just perhaps, MeeGo isnt totally done with regard to.

Lets begin with the specifications. Nokia isnt tugging any your punches here using the N9 (that honestly appears like an ipod device Nano combined with an N8), a bag of chips that sports activities a 3. 9-inch AMOLED show, 8 megapixel digital camera (showcasing Carl Zeiss optics), HIGH DEFINITION video documenting, Gorilla cup, and NFC assistance. It operates MeeGo 1. two. It additionally looks (given, this is in the promo movie) sleek as heck, with a good interface which looks, with regard to once, slightly in front of the curve.

Gone would be the Home control keys (equipment or software program) associated with yesteryear. Nokias offering the simplicity from the N9 more than everything, for the reason that all it requires is only a simple swipe. Swipe in order to scroll, swipe to maneuver through your house screens, as well as swipe to reduce your programs. And speaking of the house screens, youve obtained three of these here: the application launcher, your multitask look at (like the N900s), last but not least, your notice page that shows skipped calls and social networking updates.

Everything concerning the N9 appears impressive  as well impressive, perhaps. Whats Nokias performing here? Theyve put aside MeeGo with regard to Windows Telephone, but place the limelight back having a hell of the device. I dont quite have it. But I must hand this to Nokia: the very first release prospect of MeeGo (1. 1) looked nothing beats this. Im amazed it got this particular far.

Regrettably, theres no discuss price or even availability (however), other compared to generic “The Nokia N9 is actually scheduled to stay stores later this season, with accessibility and nearby pricing to become announced nearer to the product sales start. ”.

Nokia N9 opened Wishlist: Price 472 Euros

A month ago we were covering the official launch of Nokia N9. Nokia N9 is the first smartphone in the Finnish company’s portfolio to feature the brand new MeeGo operating system, but it seems that will also be the only one coming with this OS.

The news saying that Nokia N9 will be the only smartphone with MeeGo, made Nokia fans want it less, but a Nokia official assured the future customers of the device that the company will provide support for MeeGo, for a long period of time.
Although we expected Nokia N9, the first MeeGo smartphone to hit the market somewhere towards the end of the year, today we found out that N9 appeared in Russia, in the pre-order section of the Nokia official website.
We we first saw the specs of the new Nokia N9 we were not impressed: it comes with a 3.9-inch AMOLED display, 1GB of RAM, and 1GHz chipset, unfortunately not a member of the dual-core family. But once you look closer and see the browsing experience, the gesture control and the fluid user interface, you realize that Nokia N9 has all the requirements of a future sales hit.
Now that Nokia N9 is available for pre-order in Russia, we wonder when the MeeGo-powered device will hit other countries. The last time when the press rumored about Nokia N9, it was said that the device will be officially launched in September, with a price tag of $660 for the 16GB version of the smartphone.
The Nokia N9 pre-order availability in Russia was revealed after My Nokia Blog received a tip from one of their readers. We are eager to see Nokia’s official reaction about this news and also see if the N9 is really available for pre-order in the East European country.

But Nokia last month to the next higher level within the tanıtttığı MeeGo-based intelligentN9 Wishlist opened.

From this, if we possibly havebeen included in the model, taxes and other costs we anticipate will be sold around1,300 TL. Of course, yet impossible to say anything definitive.

N9' technical specifications are as follows:

MeeGo’s Promising ‘Debut’ in Nokia’s New N9

When Nokia unveiled its newest phone on Tuesday, June 21, it wasn't a Windows Phone 7 device. The Nokia N9 uses the MeeGo operating system, which Nokia originally intended to succeed its aging Symbian OS. With Nokia having adopted Windows Phone 7 as its primary platform, MeeGo was relegated to "experimental" status. That might prove to be a viable backup plan, judging from early impressions of the new smartphone.
Nokia's big problem has never been its handset hardware. The N9 continues a tradition of smart industrial design paired with capable components. A 3.9-inch, curved Gorilla Glass display dominates the phone's front face, which is buttonless. A penta-band radio ensures support for voice and mobile broadband data on many global networks, while an NFC chip allows for the possibility of simple device pairing and wireless payments. The camera specifications are typical high-end Nokia: an 8-megapixel sensor with Carl Zeiss optics, dual-LED flash and wide aperture (f/2.2) that allows for excellent low-light use.A PDF with the full specs can be found here.

Software, particularly the user interface, was the big issue for Nokia. Symbian went from market leader to has-been after 2007, when Apple launched the touch-friendly iOS platform, followed by a number of more modern operating systems such as Google Android and Palm's webOS. Nokia attempted to enable touch on Symbian in a number of handsets, but a key difference stood out: While rivals designed and built platforms specifically tailored to touch, Nokia tried to graft touch controls onto an existing user interface. MeeGo, however, is designed for touch. Had it arrived sooner, it might have stemmed Nokia's losses.
MeeGo is finally here, if only in a single handset with no official price or release date. Both phone and OS show promise, at least in first impressions. The device unlocks with a simple double-tap of the display, while a full-screen swipe returns the user to the home area from any running application. The main interface is a trio of screens in a carousel: one for application organization; one for social networking feeds, events, and notifications; and a third that shows small previews of currently running apps you can switch among.

Nokia's N8 Soon Left Me Wanting More

That sounds good, but I'd still like to go hands-on with the device. I initially had high hopes for the Nokia N8, which sported revamped Symbian software. Notwithstanding favorable first impressions, daily use left me wanting more.
Although Nokia has deemed MeeGo an experiment, there's a chance it could become more than that. The situation reminds me of a strategy Samsung employed.Samsung is set to become the top seller of smartphones after adopting Android as its main OS while maintaining Bada, its own little experimental in-house mobile platform.Bada is doing relatively well amid estimates that it will have powered 3.5 million handsets during the first quarter of this year.
Simply put, Samsung has built market share and expertise by selling well-designed Google Android phones while building its own software platform in the background. If MeeGo is as capable as it looks, Nokia could potentially replicate Samsung's strategy by using Microsoft Windows Phone 7 to buy the time MeeGo needs to grow. MeeGo will need more than fancy hardware and smart software. Given our growing addiction to apps, it will need a wide variety of applications in its ecosystem. MeeGo's answer for that is Qt, a cross-platform framework that lets developers run their software easily on a wide range of devices.
Had MeeGo panned out as a swift response to the 2007 iPhone launch, Nokia might well have avoided the doldrums it's in today: a recent 13-year low in stock value and a sinking smartphone market share. Now the company has linked its immediate future to that of Microsoft. Should that coupling end in divorce, MeeGo could be waiting in the wings for a second date with smartphone destiny.

Nokia N9 gets August 19 launch date

Though the news is still unconfirmed, there is a possibility that the MeeGo - based Nokia N9 will not be arriving in India at all. Many consider the fate of the N9 already sealed, and the general consensus is that it will be the first and last MeeGo device from Espoo’s stables. Unfortunate yes, but we hope for the sake of the developers, as well as for consumer choice, the platform will find adoption amongst other manufacturers. Things look a bit bleak however.
Keeping all this in mind, it is hardly surprising that the industry expects Nokia to limit the sale of the N9 to select countries. Other reports, by the usually well-informed Eldar Murtazin, predict that Nokia will be making comparatively few units of the N9, less than 100,000.

The Nokia N9 is the MeeGo smartphone that many felt could have lead Nokia out of the wilderness and according to at least one retailer the fight back begins on the 19th August – just long enough for us to save up. Read on to find out more about the Nokia N9 August launch date.

The Nokia N9 is the 3.9-inch smartphone running the MeeGo OS that Nokia had pinned its hopes on prior to switching strategy to the Windows Phone platform. We’ve no idea whether it will be supported by similar devices but safe bets are saying it’s a one-off device.

Nokia N9 gets naked in front of the FCC and clears FCC with teardown gallery and user guide

Nokia’s N9 has crossed the FCC and, as is traditional, splayed its guts for all to see. Unsurprisingly, Nokia has had to do a lot of work to get everything to fit inside its narrow polocarbonate casing, though the N9 still gets pentaband WCDMA connectivity when rivals are still bumbling along with support for a mere two or three bands.

The Nokia N9, said to be the last MeeGo device that will ever ship out from Noka’s doors, has been stripped apart by the FCC, as the body puts up for parade its drawn and quartered chassis in a bunch of photos for the curious. Tests done on it have confirmed that this is a quadband 2G and pentaband 3G (2100/1900/1700/900/850 MHz) handset, and just in case you need to connect to a local Wi-Fi network, fret not – it also does 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi over 2.4 and 5GHz.

While 16GB and 64GB models were taken apart, it is pretty hard to find the difference between the two in the images. For those who are more observant, the 1,450mAh battery seems to rely on a wired connector, which means it is was clearly not meant to be easily accessible. If you are curious to know just what the user manual look (and reads) like, head on here as well.

Nokia N9 teardown at FCC, ID label shows N9 for France, India, Thailand and more?

First lokk at N9

iOS to remove physical buttons – Inspiration from N9?

I’ve come across some videos demoing the new iOS 5 Beta. Yeah I know, I feel guilty for it.

Anyway, I have seen various videos and read some articles showing completely gesture based UI. (Although videos are of the OS on iPad 2 and iPhone 4 which still has home button, but it is never used).

Here are some of these videos and an article;
thenextweb

Does this mean that Apple is feeling threatened by the Nokia N9 and MeeGo Harmattan’s Swipe? Why wouldn’t they be!

Jay: I’m not sure I totally understand the point of these particular gestures shown on the video. It’s apparently there to be more of an accessibility feature. Otherwise, removal of the home button simply to have touch gestures requires more additional presses than you would if the button is there.

MeeGo Harmattan does not fall for this compromise and utilises gestures to actually speed up what you would otherwise do with a button.

What’s hilarious is the lock screen. You LOCK the screen with touch but you cannot unlock it with touch. Nokia MeeGo Harmattan already solves this with double-tap which wakes the screen up. No buttons necessary AT ALL. There might be some new hardware or further improvements to take care of this, but otherwise, in current state and possibly for current devices, not useful.

I also like how this little “orb” thing blocks the music button. I guess it is in Beta, and it would be unApple like to have something so unpolished. I’d expect their gestures to work more like their pinch to close stuff.

Nokia N9 difficult task of rescue or take into Meego swan song is this it?

2010 is the N8, 2011 years N9.Nokia's struggling flagship N9 on stage.Nokia N9 high hopes, hoping to stop the tide, to save face once, and focus on building WP7 phone market to win a little time.
But observers Pengxiong Jiang believes that Nokia's desire might be lost again, N9 difficult to bear the responsibility to save water and fire out of Nokia, which is Nokia's decadent and the N9 of the core status is determined.Nokia's enormous inertia is also great, and now the tide is not able to stop one or two flagship machine is maintained. Iphone launch in the absence of the formation of a strong competitive edge with a revolutionary new product, I am afraid that this decline will continue indefinitely - N8 can not save Nokia, E7 can not save Nokia, N9 can not save Nokia.Nokia relatively insular, has preferred its own smart phone operating system symbian.N9 is a far, only a Nokia symbian operating system, the use of smart phones, N9 operating system is Meego.Meego is a Linux-based Nokia and Intel to launch smart phone operating system, both sides hope to catch up with the smart phone operating system battle the big trend. However, Peng Xiongjiang Meego skeptical of his mother said Meego Linux operating system in the smart phone on hiatus, as the smart phone operating system, Meego is impossible to bring a revolutionary leap. In fact, even Nokia's own Meego hold a high degree of suspicion, were negative for Meego, and the olive branch extended to the general performance of the Microsoft windows mobile.Comprehensive look at all the rumors now, N9 or Nokia Meego system equipped with a "swan song" - in the main application times, Meego apparently was unable to Apple and Google's android ios the os par.Of course, with Nokia's brand appeal and manufacturing processes, N9 is not difficult to find part of the market. However, the situation is very embarrassing N9: one is a lot of high-end Nokia mobile phone customers to the iphone and android camp continues to lose; the other hand, a lot of loyal Nokia users place their hopes in the upcoming WP Nokia mobile phone, a common form of stiffer N9 trend, so that sales of the flagship model N9 suffered embarrassment.

The new interface Symbian Belle system design will draw a large number of Nokia N9

Nokia N9, when the release of the new user experience really has been widely recognized, but Nokia seems to want to have this recognition to the Symbian platform, which is the Nokia N9 copy of the user experience of Symbian Belle future updating.

Recently, some foreign media reported Qt Quick quick guide part of the screenshot. As shown, this quick guide written specifically for Symbian Belle, but draws a large number of elements in the system MeeGo Harmattan. Including Top status bar (downthe top status bar), Note (notification), bottom bar (the new low bar button) and so on.The new drop-down list of the top status bar has been and MeeGo systems, provide more options, simply pull down the status bar can be set up.

Drop-down quick settings (Quick Setup). From the top of the screen you can see the drop-down on some of the features of fast switching, such as: traffic, Bluetooth, WI-FI.There may be GPS-switch and so on. In the quick settings below, providing missed calls and unread messages, the display and N9/N950 exactly the same. Moreover, thefurther down you can still see the program of activities to be carried out, will be ringingalarm clock, loading the e-mail. If you can join the same as Maemo 5 downloads andBluetooth for the progress bar so much the better.

Have to say, the new user interface and indeed is more commendable standardunified design approach. This also involved within Qt Quick Guide to Symbian Bellefeatures more content, there are many Nokia N9's Swipe swipe UI. More new user interface has been in the Nokia developer page provides a preview.
